What is a Scratch Night?

Are you interested in how performance work is made? Come and be part of the audience at our Made in Cornwall Scratch Night. There will be performance, interesting discussions and a fun night out.

A Scratch Night is a live event where artists, writers, performers, theatre-makers or musicians, share new work-in-progress performance with a live audience.

It is a safe space for artists to try out new ideas and ask for useful feedback from you, the audience.

As an audience member you’ll be provided with a feedback form between each performance. These questions will be set by the artists and give you a few minutes to digest what you’ve experienced.

All performances will be short snippets – around 15-20 minutes so you’ll be able to sample a whole range different performances in just one evening.

Tickets are free but please reserve your ticket online. There will be a bar on the night to buy refreshments.

What makes a Made in Cornwall Scratch Night special?

You will be the first to see new work in the early stages of development. You’ll experience raw, exciting, and original material before anyone else.

Your opinion genuinely matters! Your feedback will help shape the development of new plays and performance in Cornwall.
