That’s right, the festive season is nearly upon us! If you’re looking to take someone out for an early Christmas treat, or fill the last six weeks of your 2018 diary with some festive things to do with your friends and family, here are a few shows we have coming up that might be just the ticket:
Lîla Dance are rapidly becoming one of Britain’s fastest growing dance companies, with a reputation for redefining community involvement in professional productions. This performance of The Hotel Experience at Liskeard Public Hall sees local dancers, young and old, taking part in the show alongside the company’s four mesmerising performers. Friday 30th November, 7.30pm, Liskeard Public Hall – Book Tickets
A new addition to the Carn to Cove Christmas offering, this December The Last Baguette Theatre Company will be treating audiences to their touching, madcap and heart-warming festive family show, The Little Match Girl. Written by T. A. Woodsmith, winner of the Sunday Times Playwriting Award, the performance uses visual storytelling, live music and puppetry to shine a light on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic winter tale. Suitable for age 4+.

Near-ta Theatre’s festive comedy, Christmas. Time. is back for its tenth anniversary tour! Written and performed by Daniel Richards and Ciaran Clarke, and directed by Simon Harvey (o-region, Kneehigh) this show is fun, festive and fantastically funny, whether you’ve seen it ten times or once!

Unfortunately the show at Devoran Village Hall later this month has already sold out but for those of you who didn’t manage to get tickets, Above Bounds will be returning to Cornwall in February with The Elves and The Shoemaker. A delightful retelling of a well-loved Christmas classic with puppetry, original music and comedy, it’ll be a nice post-Christmas, Christmas treat!
