Scratchworks Theatre Company is making a new theatre production called Dirtbags – a show exploring women, money and buried secrets in a muddy corner of an allotment.
The show will be set in the 1970s… in particular, around the time of the 1975 Sex Discrimination Act: the law that allowed women to open a bank account without a man’s signature for the first time.
To support our research for the show, we are inviting women aged 70+ to join the discussion and share their memories from the 1970s and reflect on how the changing laws of the 1970s impacted their lives.
If you would like to share a story or memories from the time, you can follow the link here to complete the form.
All participants will remain anonymous.
Our aim is to gain a wide-ranging and diverse mix of experiences to inform our research. We’ve included lots of prompts & questions, on a range of topics, to get the memories flooding back. You don’t have to answer all the questions – all contributions are welcome!
Deadline for contributions is Monday 4th January.
