Malija is a sophisticated, genre-bending trio has been delighting audiences since its debut album release in 2015.
Driven by a commitment to improvisation and collective musical banter, the band’s idiomatic sweep through bluegrass, tango, abstract grooves and shimmering landscapes is delivered with flair and playful abandon.
They have three distinctive compositional voices, all hugely influential in the London scene, which combine to form a unique sounding group and have previously collaborated with an array of famous musical figures including Norma Winstone, Mark Anthony Turnage, Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebman , Bill Lawrence and Radiohead.
