Jimmy is sixteen, sexually confused and stuck in Sheringham. He’s screwed. Well he’s not actually: that’s the problem. Where can Jimmy explore in Norfolk? Rock pools. So when pop star Morrissey comes to London, Jimmy flees to the city to try and find his hero and himself. But when Jimmy finds that he’s not attracted to girls or boys, he’s never been more confused. Then Jimmy meets Billy, a gender fluid celibate…

Rubber Ring is a laugh out loud one man play about learning to love yourself, love without labels and love your roots. Last year James took the show to London’s West End prior to a national tour.
