Creative Kernow group staff and trustees, including all of us at Carn to Cove, share the sadness of communities around the globe at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II yesterday.
In her long reign Her Majesty demonstrated her belief in and support for the arts, culture and the creative industries through her patronage of numerous organisations, in being an enthusiastic participant and cultural audience member and of course through her support for the craft of millinery.
Daniel Smiths Blues Band will now perform on Friday 24th February 2023 at Launceston Town Hall, and Saturday 25th February 2023 at St Austell Arts Centre. Bookings will be automatically transferred to these dates, and all customers affected will be contacted with their options.
Sadly we have been unable to find a new date for Paulus at Launceston Town Hall, Warleggan Village Hall and St Austell Arts Centre. These events are therefore cancelled, and all customers will receive a refund.
Launceston Town Hall
As a civic building, Launceston Town Hall is postponing Daniel Smith Blues Duo who were due to perform this evening Friday 9th September, and Paulus who was due to perform on Sunday 18th September. The Town Hall will be opening a Book of Condolence during the ten days of mourning; more information can be found on their website: https://launceston-tc.gov.uk/
St Austell Arts Centre
St Austell Arts Centre is postponing The Daniel Smith Blues Duo who were due to perform on Saturday 10th September, and Paulus who was due to perform on Saturday 17th September.
As some of the other venues on the tours in Cornwall of both The Daniel Smith Blues Duo, and Paulus are in civic buildings and, as such, are not able to host events during a period of national mourning as they are required for other use, the tour dates of both artists will need to be re-scheduled. Without being able to fulfill all dates, the tour is unviable for the artist.
We will be rescheduling these shows and all tickets already booked will be transferred to the new dates when we have them confirmed. If you would prefer to have your booking refunded, please get in touch. All affected customers will have been contacted by email with their options.
