This is a hilarious piece of Gothic visual theatre inspired by the real and imaginary worlds of the Brontes, presented in the company’s playful and irreverent style.
Drawing on biographies and novels such as Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, the performers attempt to distil the essence of the Brontes through minimal dialogue, sparse physical theatre and recurring visual metaphors, all to a haunting soundtrack, while exploring themes of repression, love, madness and death.
The material is serious, the result is anything but.
